Canadian artist creates art from toxic dregs

It is rare to see people billowing out of a tragic incident, stronger and more determined than before. Canada-based artist Algis Kemezys saw his house and his artworks as falling to flames; still he kept groping for the remains and later, transformed the toxic dregs into some astonishing works of environmental art.

The artist utilized hazardous stuff like Kodacrome slides, EasyOff, rubber glue, fingernail polish, Magic Markers, bleach and shoe polish to create some magical photographs. Christened as What breath of fresh air, Flowering destruction, Toxic Toronto, Acid rain, Who killed the whales, Someone is melting the earth, and some other untitled works: images are no doubt beautiful, but they can be ‘damaging to the environment.’
