British farmers can make the maximum out of climate change. True, global warming can give birth to problems, but it is also capable of creating new markets and new opportunities.
According to the environment secretary, David Miliband, the principle of “the polluter pays” would be applied to farming as to other industries.
With the increasing demand for renewable fuel, the market for biofuels would ‘substantially’ grow.
Mr Miliband discussing these at the Oxford Farming Conference has opened up a new horizon for the global warming effects. Largely optimistic in his tone Miliband wanted to emphasize the fact that climate change was “an opportunity, not just a threat”.
