Eddie Gandelman’s public urinal design gives out an eco-friendly message

Attending to nature’s call is as important as any other natural process of our life, say breathing. Of course, if not done in a proper way it can lead to multiple problems. For the same purpose, public urinals have been built around everywhere, just in case one may feel the need to relieve one’s self in a case of an emergency.

Basing the concept of one such public urinal design for the male anatomy, designer Eddie Gandelman, has created a unique design. It’s a well known fact how public urinals have a very negative connotation attached to them. Mostly owing to being unhygienic, they are considered to be an uncouth way of disposing off our waste.

The urinal design by Eddie has 4 pods attached to it, and at the top, there is an option of locating some plants. Based and planned with a simple design, the urine is collected, refined through the various levels inside the structure and then used as a nutritional element for the plants. The urine goes through the charcoal, crushed limestone and green sand levels before reaching the plants at the top. All I can say is that the concept would prove to be a booster for our green friends, and help promote the Eco-friendly concept fruitfully. Public Toilet Design by Eddie Gandelman 3
