DJs always have to keep doing something more than just play groovy music to keep those feet tapping. They have to enthrall the crowd by coming up with innovative, crazy and wild ideas. One such bizarre, yet green move was made by LA-based DJ Kid Chameleon and his friend Terrence Scoville, who created an awesome DJ helmet from recycled materials. Their visualizer helmet gives new life to an old Apple Macintosh Plus, a bicycle helmet, an iPad and an electroluminescent display. The whole shebang is controlled by an iMac running Resolume Avenue and the video is triggered using a MIDI keyboard and a Wiimote. Check out the video to see it in action.
