A bacterial infection has killed more than 1,000 mallard ducks this December alone! The officials say that the cause of it might not be avian flu! The birds were found dead along a single creek in southern Idaho.
The ducks were found to have been killed by lesions in the lungs and hemorrhage in the heart wall, leading to the conclusion that they died of a bacterial infection, Dave Parrish, regional supervisor for the Idaho Department of Fish and Game informed.
But again, the state wildlife biologists’ and U.S. Department of Homeland Security investigators’ not ruling out any cause of the deaths is sure to raise a question on the infection, kicking up fear and panic in the region!
