After giving you the flavor of melodious “Vegetable Orchestra”, we now bring to you the chill of glacier ice blended with music. Norwegian percussionist Terje Isungset creates ice music with instruments he carves out of pure glacier ice. Listed amongst the world’s most talented percussionists, Isungset is known to make an ice guitar, an ice harp, a trumpet and even a fiddle. In 2000, this talented artist was asked by the commission for the Lillehammer Winter Olympic Games to compose and play in a frozen waterfall. It was then that he fell in love with ice music.
He uses a knife to transform ice cubes into unbelievable musical instruments. Ice is not the only material he creates magical music with, Isungset also creates musical instruments out of natural materials like arctic birch, granite and slate.
