I own a Yale ERC040AGN36TE084 36 volt electric forklift. When you turn the key on everything seems normal. As soon as you try to move or use the lift the electric contacts just start clicking. We had a repair company come out and they immediately said the battery was in poor condition and never checked anything else. The battery reads over 36 volts when it comes off the charger and there is no voltage drop when trying to use the lift. They also said the battery had a few bad cells; however that would mean I wouldn’t have 36 volts. I think they are just trying to sell me a new battery and not look further into the problem. Is problem in my electric forklift really due to battery? Please advice appropriately. Thanks.
