Haiti is gradually recovering from the devastation caused by the recent earthquake that devoured numerous lives. It’s the need of the hour that we come up with everything needful to restore normalcy to the poor nation. US company Sol Inc. has joined hands with the rescue workers as it offers solar powered lighting systems to ensure that rescue operations should continue while it’s dark outside.
The weather, corrosion and tamper-proof LEDs used in the Tropical Solar Light System are capable of serving for 70,000 hours. The TSL is perfectly suited to Haitian windy conditions and is easily installable. The highly efficient 80-260 watt panels keep it working for a five nights.
Seeks public involvement
Another initiative of the same company urges people to donate the solar light systems. For each donation made, Sol Inc. will be pairing it with a similar lighting system. The lights will aid the rescue workers in food distribution, and for normal lighting along the roadways.
