Bethlehem’s monthly First Friday celebration this month has a wonderful lineup of special events that will leave you enthralled. Today’s night will be one crazy night of lots of eating, drinking and dancing to the tunes of great music. But, one thing you all must look out for at the First Friday that have always been known to be rich in art openings and music is the artwork put on exhibit in the gallery at Home & Planet at 25 E. Third St.
In the gallery, you will see “From Haiti… Sculpture from Steel Drums,” featuring beautiful wall sculpture created by the earthquake devastated Haiti artists. It is hard to believe that the extraordinary pieces of art are made from recycled steel drums. After coming across the stunning artworks, the store owner Jon Clark immediately decided to showcase them. The show opens 7-10 p.m. Friday and continues through May 2. You can see more of their works here.
