All it takes is reading a single article about living green and you will likely come across the phrase ‘carbon footprint’. This term appears so often that it can be pretty clear that this is something that should concern you; nonetheless, what they don’t do all the time is to explain exactly what it is and its importance.
If you thought that the only problem with coal power plants is the emission of smoke, then you have not seen reports from physicians of social responsibility. These reports clearly indicate that these coal power plants are literally assaulting the environment and human beings. If you go through the list of ill effects you will realise the direness of the situation.
Our current move towards paying more attention to halting global warming and the accumulation of greenhouse gases is something which is naturally pushing more attention onto sources of natural energy and ways to utilise them to their fullest extent properly. Of all the types of natural energy, one which has been on the receiving end of a lot of recent attention is solar energy. Solar panels and other methods of using the heat and light of the sun such as Arduino solar tracker have been in use for some time, but the use of electric linear actuators is something which is set to change their use for the better.
According to facts stated by Worldwatch Institute, more than 51% of global greenhouse gas emissions are caused by animal farming. In order to prevent global climate change, a shift to vegan diet has become necessary. Raising animals requires huge amount of land, food, energy, and water.Plus, the animals are often treated with unspeakable brutality. Excessive meat consumption is bad for health as well though the immediate reactions are almost imperceptible. Here are eight reasons explained why you should reduce your meat consumption as soon as possible.
Conserving the environment is no longer a duty of companies and government organizations. Each one of us has a role to play in making this planet more habitable. Global warming, rising energy costs and increased pollution are just some of the issues that have forced us to focus on green living. Eco-friendly living never means that you have to make drastic changes in your life. It’s only small things that actually count. Here are some steps that you can take to lead a green life:
The Earth’s climate has been changing throughout history. Most of these changes were because of the change in Earth’s orbit that caused variations in the amount of solar heat that our planet receives. The current climate change is worrying because of its unprecedented rate of progress and its potential cause being human-induced. With the help of satellites that orbit our planet, scientists have finally got solid proof to back-up their global warming theory.
Sustainable agriculture is all about growing crops that leaves a minimal or no carbon footprint on the land and in the environment. Out of the many sustainable agriculture techniques, carbon farming is the one about which this article is going to enlighten you.
Green house effect and global warming is one issue that is too popular across the globe. Everybody knows what it is, why and how it happens. However, not many people think it their responsibility to contribute towards saving planet from such disastrous situation. Global warming is not happening because of just one person but because of all, so all of us should consider it our responsibility to stop this dangerous phenomenon anyhow. You can do these simple yet highly effective following things to reduce your carbon footprint on the environment.
The current situation of the planet from its environment point of view is not what we all want or expect. Global temperatures are steadily rising and the polar ice caps are constantly melting, giving way to a range of crisis right from climate change to water scarcity. One of the biggest contributors to global warming is transportation. Cars in all parts of the world are consuming billions of gallons of fuel and emitting large quantities of toxic gases in the process. The best, but not the perfect way around all this trouble is the electric car revolution.
The trained biologist and environmentalist Matevz Lenarcic is the first flyer and pilot to complete the eco friendly Arctic voyage. And the ultra light plane flew almost 4,000 kilometers which no other light plane is capable of flying. He had started his journey to North Pole on 22nd of April from Ljubljana for his GreenlightWorldFlight North Pole project. And has been flying from Europe to America and back all over to the North Pole in an ultra light plane. The environmentalist Slovenian Matevz Lenarcic then later landed at Ljubljana completing the month long trip. Earlier the journey was scheduled for a shorter duration but due to inexplicable reasons the journey was stretched for an additional 14 days. The biologist even explains his well wishers and the crowds that the trip was a lot more difficult and troublesome than he had expected but what matters the most is the ultra light plane landed safely.
