Luzinterruptus is a creative bunch of Spanish artists who love to question our receptivity to some apparently natural phenomena. While sometimes they offer us a retreat from relentless traffic (Literature versus Traffic), they create an army of UFOs (Aliens in Picnic) to see how we greet these extraterrestrial beings. Water is Gold is another installation that reminds us how fast we are losing our potable water sources. Imploring the very essence of a livable space for birds this time, they have come up with a vivacious installation called the Urban Nest.
The installation, erected in one of the most commercial areas of Madrid, features some 130 yellow balls attached to scaffolding planks. When illuminated, the nests look so pretty and appealing.
