What could you possibly do with these cassettes which would prevent you from dumping them in a landfill? Cassette Tape Lamp
How about building your own table lamp using old cassette tapes? All you have to do is collect identical looking cassette tapes and glue them together in whatever shapes you desire, making sure you keep the center hollow. Insert a light bulb into the center. Using a sturdy piece of twine or cord, you can then hang them around the house for a decorative touch.
Cassette Tape CD Rack
Fancy having a cassette player rack to hold your CD collection. Simply place together a few cassette tapes (keep some gaps in between them for the CDs to be placed). Use some screw nuts and bars to fasten them to a support. When finished, you can place your CDs in between the individual cassette tapes. Nothing like the old giving way to the new.

Take a look at this cupboard that is made entirely of cassette tapes.
