When the young Karan Gaba got disgusted at the sight of dirt-covered vegetables at Mumbai’s grocery store, he resolved to put an end to it using the power of ozone. The engineer cum businessman tried his hand at organic farming initially and that is when an ozone based water purifier was bought for his home. So he realized if water could be purified so efficiently, why not the eatables, vegetables to be specific?
Thus, as a result, Waltro Technologies was established. Within a year of its launch, as much as five hundred ozone technology based cleansers flied off the shelves. Gaba thereafter took up the initiative to establish a full-blown national level enterprise to market his technology. He made investments towards building a central purification center in Santa Cruz and a retail store in the posh Bandra locality of Mumbai.
As early as 4.30 A.M. the product from market is transported to the purification center where proper steps of cleansing and grading are done to remove soil off the vegetables and fruits. Post the process they are exposed to the ozone in the machine to kill the harmful microbes followed by packaging and the products are ready to be sold well before 9 o clock when the stores open.
From UK to India, ozone technology is being improvised upon to provide us a better and healthy lifestyle. The pioneering effort by Karan Gaba has already tasted success and is sure to gain widespread appreciation for the health conscious consumers of our times.
