The Plant Pod is a very useful creation by Alastair Crompton who has developed a plant pot that can actually hydrate itself without any outside assistance. This self-watering planter is basically designed to accommodate small to medium-sized plants inside the house. This beautiful planter is half transparent and half opaque and looks very attractive when kept inside the house. The Plant Pod uses a very simple process called replaceable capillary action that supplies the plant with the requisite water that it requires daily. Now you do not have keep wondering whether you have been watering your plants adequately as the Plant Pod ensures that the plants are optimally hydrated.
These user-friendly planters also have a novel air filtration mechanism so as to enable the plant roots to receive fresh and pure air so as to avoid any kind of root disease or rotting to take place. The Plant Pod contains a dish called the water container that can hold up to two liters of water that can be sufficient for hydrating the plants for more than two weeks before a need is felt for refilling the water container. However, it must be noted that the frequency for refilling also depends upon the feeding requirements of the respective plant as well as the environment – as more water is required by the plant during the hot weather and so on.
The Plant Pod is a marvelous self-sufficient planter for people who do not have a ‘green thumb’ and are not great at gardening, as this product will make it possible for them to still have green healthy plants around the house inspite of that.
