In the past few years, there has been an exponential increase in awareness of the food business. In fact, one of the most pressing issues of our time is the rights of animals and how they are treated in order to provide humans with the products they need. In many situations, unfortunately, animals are not granted freedom, and the consequence of this system is a low quality production. Is there a solution to this problem? The answer is yes.

ORGANIC FARMING

These peculiarities of organic farming ensure that the birds can grow up healthy and can have a life that does not include cruelty in any way, and furthermore they can lead a life keeping the distances they find necessary.
FREE RANGE FARMING
Even in this second scenario, the animals have the possibility to spend their lives freely, without being constrained in a few small cages. In fact, they have the possibility to move when and how they want, which means they have all the freedom an animal should normally have for living. Also, in free range farming, the animals have access to the open air, but again no time frame is specified, so this factor differs greatly from farm to farm. But what is the real feature that distinguishes a free-range farm from a biological farm, since both provide freedom for the animals? The answer has already been partially mentioned above: the feed. Indeed, in these second types of farms, the food is controlled and studied by experts. This means that the animals are nurtured with a type of food that has been previously composed for them. However, each animal is also free to eat other foods that it finds in nature, like insects for example.
In other words, choosing one of these two farms ensures a healthy and free life for the animals. Moreover, encouraging and supporting free range and organic farms means discouraging more and more farms where animals are forced to stay in a cage for their entire life, with the sole purpose of providing products for industry.
