A lot many of us have fond memories of the classic Nintendo which have now given way to Play Stations and X box and other high-end gaming stations. However, some Nintendo enthusiasts would still love to keep a part of their favorite Nintendo with them in the form of some gadget. Here are ten amazing creations out of old Nintendo creators – a must-have for geeks and a great way to recycle as well!
1. NES Controller Wallet
This amazing wallet made out of an NES controller is something that no one would ever have. This wallet is very easy to make and for this you would need one old NES controller, wire snip pliers, a small screwdriver, a long zip and UHU glue. Firstly, you would have to unscrew the controller carefully and remove the wires (except the ones that fix the button pads) and circuit board from inside. Then apply some glue to the keys so that they do not fall out of place. Then take the long zip and glue it to the inside of the controller along three sides, the fourth side can be sealed by using a ribbon. Add the finishing touches and your controller wallet is ready!
2. NES Controller MP3 Player with Cartridge Speaker
These funky NES gadgets are the creation of Morte Moya in which he has converted an NES controller into an MP3 player and then he has turned old game cartridges into speakers. The speakers are not too loud and are perfect for personal use when you sitting by the beach or simply reading something and is not meant for party music.

This innovative belt has been made by using the NES controller as the buckle – giving it a very gadget-like and colorful look. Priced at $28, this belt would be any techno geek’s prized possession!
4. Nintendo NES Controller Mouse
Using old Nintendo controller to make something useful is a great way to go green. This mouse is made out of an NES controller and is very easy to do it at home. For making this mouse, you would need an NES controller, a dremel tool, an optical mouse, small-sized screwdrivers, a hot glue gun, super-glue, two replacement buttons, a soldering gun and solder. This project would probably take you a good 4-5 hours. Firstly, you would be required to open up the NES controller and clean its interior and then replace all that with the optical mouse’s circuit board carefully. Then solder it carefully and then attach the replacement buttons. Fix the controller together and you have an NES Nintendo controller mouse ready!

The items that you will require for this task would be a Nintendo controller, small-sized screwdrivers, a card reader, a rotary tool, a hobby knife kit, and glue. Firstly, glue the buttons of the controller in place and then open up the NES controller box by using the rotary tool. Make some space inside for the card reader, fit it neatly inside the controller and make the necessary slots. Make space for the cord route and fix it in place by using hot glue but do make sure that the slots do not get clogged with glue. Join the two pieces of the controller together neatly by using glue.
