DC6 diner, UK
Located at Coventry airport, United Kingdom, the DC6 diner is a transformation of a 1950’s 40-seater aircraft. The Douglas DC-6 has not flown for almost six years now but it is still serving its customers with the best of dining services. Aviation enthusiasts can enjoy lunch and dinner and then can take a stroll to the plane’s cockpit or enjoy a drink at cocktail bar. The interiors of the diner reflect the luxury, which travelers experienced in this plane. Moreover, the dishes have names after this old aircraft like Meteor marinade filler, Bomber T-bone steak, and 8oz Rapide steak.
Boeing 727 House, Costa Rica
This magnificent and colorful South African Boeing 727 plane was transformed into a fuselage home in the ever-youthful city of Costa Rica. The restaurant is located in a beautiful dense jungle and the interiors have been paneled in local teak .This restaurant is furnished with hand-carved furniture from Java, Indonesia. Along with all the conventional restaurant facilities there is a covered hardwood deck that gives the view of the ocean.
Jumbo Hostel, Stockholm
If you visit the beautiful capital of Sweden, Stockholm, make sure you experience a lavish stay at the jumbo hostel. This is not any ordinary hotel but the famous Boeing 747 jumbo jet turned into a 29-room hostel with all the eminent facilities. This plane/hostel rests at the entrance to Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport and its extravagant private cockpit suite or the mod 24 hr cafe/bar makes it stand out.
The Plane Motel, New Zealand
This 1950s Bristol freighter is open to the travelers and tourists visiting Otorohanga, New Zealand. These tourists are rafters or visitors here for spelunking trips for which this area is famous. The amenities provided are basic which suits the style of these visitors. The plane has four in two separate rooms and one of the, is located in cockpit which is accessible by ladder only.

Parked next to the Teuge airport, Netherlands, this East German plane still carries with a feel of the Cold war-era. This suite comes equipped with all the amenities like shower, free Wi-Fi air conditioning, infrared sauna, pantry, televisions, Jacuzzi and more. The plane is an Ilyushin 18 model built in 1960 and was a restaurant before it was turned into a luxurious hotel suite.
Winvian’s Helicopter Cottage, Connecticut
This is not a plane completely re-modeled into a hotel instead it is sitting in a cottage in the Winivan resort in Litchfield Hills, Connecticut. The 17,000 pound restored U.S. Coast Guard Sikorsky Sea King Pelican HH3F from 1968 has been placed in the living room of this cottage to give a airplane hangar aesthetic. The chopper consists of TV, kitchenette and a bar and not bed and bath.

This is an airplane bar located in the centre of Olomouc, Czech Republic. It was opened in the 1970s and offers a fine dining experience to its customers. There is a small dance floor and a DJ’s desk in the cockpit.
