Save your planet with eco friendly furniture

Furniture made from recycled components

Human habits and deeds have long been knowingly and unknowingly abusing the environment in diverse ways. Not surprisingly, today we find ourselves on the brink of an environmental catastrophe, thanks to our careless and adamant use of pollution hazards like plastic bags. Worse, we are being most unfair to the coming generations by handing over an environment of pollution and contamination as their legacy. Fortunately, all is not lost yet. We can still make a big positive difference if we vow to use green and eco-friendly products in day-to-day life. Our seemingly trivial decision can save the planet from a host of environmental problems and hazards.

Here are a few recycled gems from Marco Carpagnano, a student of Product Design at the University of Derby, to pledge our valuable support for a green planet:

Designer chairs

These chairs are are made from reusable items of day to day use. And the recycled matter doesn’t come in the way of comfort and elegance. If you have the slightest of doubts, rest easy. One variety of designer chair is made from damaged car doors. The damaged window frame transforms into the chair’s back rest while a robust steel leg holds it up-right. The cushioned board ensures maximum seating comfort. Just imagine how scrap can serve a lasting purpose instead of ruining the planet as a pile of debris. These attractive and cost-effective chairs will undoubtedly enhance the beauty of your homes and offices. At the same time, they would not cause any threat to your beloved environment.

Outdoor furniture

Given our growing computer usage, we are well aware of ‘Recycle Bin’, the friendly icon that serves us virtually. But little did we know that the actual dustbin can help us get creative and serve a purpose too. Now you can convert the bin into different pieces of furniture that can be remodeled to suit your seating needs and preferences – whether a sturdy patio chair on wheels, a chic, upright lawn chair or a durable sit-out chair. Not only is the design easy to make, you can also pressure wash to keep it odor-free.

Thanks, Marco Carpagnano
