Hoping to outshine its previous vehicle designs in almost all respects: weight, footprint, safety, usability and efficiency, Gordon Murray Designs took the wraps off the T.25 City Car at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment in Oxford, England. Utilizing a unique iStream manufacturing process, the vehicle ensures minimum CO2 emissions through its life cycle.
The seemingly vintage-looking three-seater with tapered anterior features a 51 horsepower, in-line three-cylinder engine that propels the T.25 to 62 mph in 16.2 seconds. The 1.212 pound (more or less) car is fuel-efficient enough to achieve 61.9 miles per gallon. Since the car is just 8 feet long and just over 4 feet wide, it can turn in just 19.7 feet and can be parked in a single parallel parking space.
Now, did you say impressive? Yes, it is sans a doubt – and, green too.
