Aiming to put sustainable wind energy to optimum use, a London-based design studio and the Royal College of the Arts student Merel Karhof has created a machine that utilizes the power of wind to produce tube scarves. Aptly named as the Wind Knitting Factory, the cylindrical plant weaves yarn into fashion wear given that the wind is there.

When the knitted material is produced, it is refined into individually packaged scarves. Each of the manufactured scarves tout a label that indicates the date and time it took during its transformation from yarn to scarves. The knitting machine does the knitting from the outside going toward inside the building.
