Each one of us is quite capable of affecting our oceans, for good or for worse, irrespective of where we live. In an attempt to bring about awareness regarding the hazards causes to the water bodies and encourage students to give a helping hand to preserve them, the Save My Oceans Tour is visiting various colleges with a series of music, film and art installations. These creations and documentary apart from offering great knowledge about oceans, also shows how passion for oceans can make a positive change.
This time the campus where the beautiful sea creation sits is the University of Utah. The touring art formation installed for the students to see is called the “Infiltrate”. The sea creation that throw light on the damage done to animals who consume discarded plastic are crafted by SoCal artist Julie B and bring together turtles and jellyfish made from recycled plastic water bottles. These sculptures that glow at night will be put up for exhibit today and can be seen until April 22. The sole of a good story lies in how well it is told, so in order to change the way students see the world “Save My Oceans” tour has organized a documentary “Oceans” that will be shown in theaters on Thursday.
