After working on some substantial eco-aspects, Jamie Martin, the UK based designer has come up with the latest concept car dubbed the SHC (Super Hatchback Concept). The concept car is touted to be more environmentally friendly than his previous concepts: Cobra Venom V8 and the London Navigator bus.
Weight reduction for high level of performance is achieved via the use of lightweight materials, and use of aluminum in making chassis and suspensions. To limit its CO2 output, the engine works on the ‘Delta Drive Hybrid (DDH)’ system that includes a pair of electric motors with Nano-Titanate batteries. The batteries make it possible to run this car in full electric mode for 70 miles without a battery-recharge. In addition to it, a twin-turbocharged internal combustion engine features the direct injection, stop-start technology and regenerative braking.
