Sawkille Company, a new store in Rhinebeck, N.Y., brings you a solution that too dressed in sustainability. The white birch-bark armoire is made from white birch barks that have fallen from trees on the Catskills.

These fallen barks are collected and vacuum-pressed onto the door, side panels and drawer faces. It is a magical storage that looks quite petite but opens to fit in a lot. Usinga dovetail construction, the hand-painted frame is fixed to two hard maple drawers, a hat rack, a shoe rack, a hanging rod and a full-length mirror.

In case you are looking for a place to keep your valuables or secret things, then a “secret compartment” – a false drawer at the bottom will do the task. Designed by Jonah Meyer, one of the store’s owners and Joshua Vogel, this stunning armoire must thank modern woodworking methods for the rustic, Adirondack-inspired aesthetic.
