Amazing sculptures made from most unusual materials

I have seen artists make sculptures using some of the most bizarre materials ever. Here is one such man who portrays the cycle of destruction to reconstruction in his work. Alastair Mackie has many sculptures and installations to his name that are made from most unusual materials. “House” is a dollhouse created by him using 300 pulped wasp and hornet nests. Another piece called “Untitled (+/-)”, is a result of barn-owl pellets.

The barn owl survives on mice and passes out the undigested mouse fur and bones as pellets. Alastair spent a complete year collecting it and processed it to create fabric from the fur, while the bones were directly piled on the fur sheet. No matter what weird material he uses, his creations certainly say a thousand words.
