When the element of fun is added to teaching, learning becomes much more interesting and simpler. This is exactly what you will see at the Discovery Museum. The new permanent exhibit at the second-floor has been designed with the idea of teaching visitors about energy efficiency in an amusing manner. The $100,000 exhibit funded by the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund and small charge on customers’ bills in the state educates people about renewable and non-renewable energy sources.

The visitors are educated on the various methods of renewable energy production by making them take part in the generation, transmission, and conservation of energy through hands-on activities, videos, and dioramas. The interactive display show the way energy can be created from fossil fuels, hydropower, solar panels, and wind turbines. The use of Energy Star appliances to save power is another thing that the exhibit highlights. In my opinion is a great way to spread awareness regarding benefits of renewable energy and easy ways to create them.
