Beautiful garden at Teesside University brings students close to nature

Student's Union Terrace

With the ever-increasing rate of pollution, the greenery around the globe is rapidly decreasing. People are cutting down trees and using this space for residential as well as commercial purposes. This act has led to deforestation, which has further given rise to many other problems. In such a scenario, having a park in the city center university seems next to impossible. However, in the above picture, you are looking at the beautiful park that has been constructed by David Sears at the Teesside University under the MA Project.

The Student’s union park is a true example of a modern garden. This garden was initially a car parking area which was then converted into a two-level park. This garden not only has different types of trees, but also many other artificial decorations which add to its beauty. The whole area has been provided with proper lighting so that students can enjoy the nature even during night. Comfortable red benches have been built for the students to sit and enjoy the greenery around. An area around the library has been converted into special seating spaces provided with cushions and lights for the students to sit and study calmly.

The overall look of the garden is very serene. It is an impressive project. To have such a peaceful green environment in the university is a boon for the students. It will not only help the students to learn and grow better, but also nullify the effect of the rapid deforestation occurring. If people join hands to encourage more of these kinds of projects, it will definitely check the bad effects of pollution.
