Lately, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center has uploaded a set of breathtaking satellite images of the Earth to its Flickr account. This series of high-resolution photos called ‘Blue Marble’ has been produced using the Terra satellite, which is more than 435 miles (700km) above the Earth’s surface. The series includes satellite-based composite photographs taken from June to September 2001. NASA says that the ‘Blue Marble’ image is the most detailed true-color image of the entire Earth to date.
