The engineers working on designing and developing a giant underwater dome that could be placed over the leak to suck up the oil. Though the idea of the dome has been tried since 1979, but it never tastes success. The harsh seas did not let it sustain for more than two months. So, all we can do is hope that BP’s underwater dome succeeded in withstanding the cruel sea and stops the gusher from reaching the coastline.
