Designed by British designer Vivienne Westwood, who is now known as Dame Westwood, these trendy limited-edition recycled bags are fashioned specially for an African project that highlights ethical fashion. She has designed three chic recycled bags for the Ethical Fashion Africa Project, which is a part of the International Trade Centre, the joint body of the United Nations (UN) and World Trade Organization (WTO). The three styles go by the names Gaia Heart, Get a Life and the Orb. Handmade in Nairobi, Kenya, all of them are made from recycled materials.
The banner bag is made of recycled advertisement banners, while the Gaia pops out of old and ripped safari tents. Each of these exquisite pieces is sold for just $158. This green and noble project is a way to connect international distributors and fashion businesses with poor communities.
