The RE Store’s 9th Annual Trash Fashion Show will see models walking the ramp dressed in clothing that gives new meaning to the old saying “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” The innovative works of art and fashion will display the creativity thing of designers and artist to transform waste into something more beautiful and meaningful. This year’s Seattle Fashion Show that is scheduled for April 17 will be one exciting evening with two shows. The New York Fashion Academy on Ballard Ave will see an all ages event at 7 p.m., while the 21 and older event with a beer/wine garden will start at 9:30 p.m.

The Bellingham Trash Fashion Show that will be held on April 30 will be brought by collaborating with W.W.U.’s Fine Arts and Theater Department. The Viking Union’s Multi-purpose Room will see works of students, along with professional/amateur designs. The fashions and accessories to be showcased at the shows will be made from materials like construction fencing, food packaging, inner tubes, soda pop top chainmail, or plastic grocery bags woven, crocheted, pleated or sewn. The show that has collaborated with W.W.U.’s Fine Arts and Theater Department this year is a good way of educating and encouraging others to rethink, reuse and recycle. If you too want to check out the dazzling show, tickets will be available this month.
