Electricity plays an important role in every phase of our life, but many parts of the world are not so lucky to enjoy the benefits of electricity. The people in these places generally use kerosene lanterns as a source of light. Little do they know that burning kerosene is dangerous, because it emits harmful gases that pollute the environment. In an effort to help these people to reduce the use of kerosene, d.light Design has launched a solar LED lamp called d.light S1.

The company explains that its new solar lamp is small, portable and cheap. As this lamp is designed especially for the under-privileged people, its cost is only USD8, which is reasonable enough.

The company also claims that this powerful bright lamp has the capacity of providing 4 hours of continuous light after a full-day charge and it can also resist bad weather conditions. d.light S1 has been created especially for those students who have to struggle in front of harmful kerosene lamps everyday and inhale poisonous gases.

The effort of d.light Design is really impressive because introduction of such a lamp will not only help the students to study in a conducive environment, but also reduce the amount of kerosene being burnt everyday, thereby, reducing the pollution and saving the environment.
