meyrin pv application lab

The Meyrin Photovoltaic Application Laboratory at the European Technical Center in Meyrin finally opened its doors this week. Catering to the fast-growing solar energy market, the new lab by Dupont will help in obtaining better connection with the customers, provide local technical support and develop the next generation of products for the global PV market.

The Meyrin PV Application Lab is designed to advance state-of-the-art solar module design, in addition to providing cost-effective, high-performance solutions. DuPont in collaboration with Building Innovations and Performance Polymers, as well as industry partners has succeeded in developing an innovative building-integrated PV (BIPV) panel system. The BIPV application is capable of significantly improving the ease and speed of installation. It also offers high-energy efficiency, exceptional water tightness and superior building aesthetics. With its new lab, the company hopes to offer products and technologies that can convert the sun’s power into clean energy, contributing to decreasing dependence on fossil fuels.
