But all that happened more than twenty years before in 1990 when Captain Planet was first broadcast on television as a cartoon and ran six successful seasons. But the new news in town is sure to make the Captain Planet lovers happy. After more than twenty years of hiding Captain Planet is ready for a comeback and this time he is making it big. That is right, Captain Planet is gonna hit the big screen soon and ready to take on the bad guys destroying the environment with some real life action.
Producers Don Murphy and Susan Montford along with their company Angry Film works have already signed the deal with Cartoon Network to make this environment friendly super hero a reality. Murphy assures that the movie will be entertaining but relevant to the current happenings and the message on environment is more significant now than it was twenty years ago.
Coming back of Captain Planet would also mean the comeback of the Planeteers; the five kids who came from all over the world to stay united and fight against pollution. Plus don’t forget the magic rings filled with the power of earth, water, fire, wind and heart, which when combined together bought Captain Planet to life. Murphy’s work have entertained and astonished millions of people all around the world with movies like ‘From the Hell’, ‘Transformers Trilogy’ and an upcoming Hugh Jackman movie created with Montford, ‘Real Steel’. So ‘Go Planet’ featuring Captain Planet and the Planeteers will surely keep movie lovers and Murphy fans patiently wait for this blockbuster.
In this current world where environment is given least importance and environment day is just another day of the month a Captain Planet movie is sure to capture the attention of a lot of people.
