Eilat-Eilot Group wins concession for new clean technology center

After hosting renewable energy show for the past four years, the Eilat-Eilot Group recently registered yet another success to its green initiatives. The Israeli consortium has won a concession from the Office of the Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor to build a new renewable energy center. The renewable energy technology center will be built in the Arava valley, immediately north of Eilat.

The winning consortium will invest NIS 57 million in the new center over the next five years with the Chief Scientist of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor providing a matching amount as part of a contract with the government. The Eilat-Eilot group has many partners who will join forces to develop the new renewable energy center.

The partners include Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE:ESLT), Ormat Industries Ltd. (TASE:ORMT), ProSeed Venture Capital Fund (TASE:PRSD), Britain’s Consensus Business Group and Ben Gurion University of the Negev. The Eilat Eilot Clean Technology Center will not only emphasize on boosting solar energy and wind power projects.
