Oh! What a spectacular view it is. One such drag racing competition gave birth to a stunning and green drag racer. Jesse James and the crew at Monster Garage built an electric 1962 Chevy Bel Air drag racer for Milwaukee Tools using lithium ion cordless drill batteries.

Constructed in 2006, this coupe housed as many as 384 lithium ion cordless drill batteries to run 1/4 mile in just 14.533 seconds. This astounding car is capable of reaching a top speed of 100mph on the drag strip. The batteries that are stored in handmade wooden boxes produce 336 volts at 3,000 amps driving twin electric forklift motors. This super cool racing car is sure to take adventure, excitement and thrill that extra mile.
