Many home decorators make use of LED lamps that consume minimum energy for giving better results. FINNE architect is one of such firms. The firm designs houses, custom light fixtures and furniture etc. Based in Seattle, it was founded by Nils Finne, 15 years ago with sustainability at the core of his practice. In each project, all kind of natural and sustainable materials is used. In this article, we will discuss the SKLI Max fused glass LED Pendant, which makes use of maximum day light, and thus saves energy.
The beautiful hanging energy-miser light fixture is about eight feet long and 2 feet wide, with three LED lamp holders. These lamp holders are made up of recycled steel. The use of LED again implies that minimum energy is being consumed (only 6 watts each). The fixture reflects a part of light back up to the ceiling and filters the rest through the fused glass plane. With this design an ambient environment is created in a way that puts a least amount of strain on the energy needs and our natural resources are preserved in a smart way.
After all, nowadays people are getting more and more into the usage of renewable sources of energy and trying their best to decrease their dependency on non renewable sources. Taking the example of electricity, which is a form of energy produced generally by burning of fossil fuels and coal, which are firstly non renewable sources of energy, and, secondly, these are one of the various factor causing pollution. Most of the electricity is used by people to illuminate their buildings, houses and shops etc. Various methods are being employed by people either to make use of natural day light as much as possible or save electricity. Using natural day light all the time is not possible as it is not available at night. Therefore, the second option that is saving electricity is always better.
