Flake House: Portable log house from Olgga Architects

Just recall that innocent childhood when sitting on logs and planning new mischief with friends made a lot of sense. Olgga Architects is here to take you back in time and brush off the dust lying over those sweet memories. The French designer has come up with green shelter, which it calls the “Flake House”. It is a two-piece, transportable log cabin that was created in 2006 for the competition “Petites machines à habiter” held by the CAUE 72.

The nomadic, road-gauged dwelling can be easily installed wherever you wish to place it. The winner of the “Lauriers de la construction bois” of the Salon du Bois in Grenoble in 2007, the flake house has a smooth interior finish, giving it a very contemporary look. Last year, Olgga Architects presented their green dwelling at the festival Estuaire Nantes / St Nazaire.
