Auto freaks can go to any extremes to satisfy their urge to create inspiring automobiles from things available, or arranged somehow. James Zabala, a 26-year-old shoe designer for Sperry Top-Sider, added a whole car to a Ford Model T electric engine. He built the body of his dream car with a whole lot of recycled auto spare parts. Running gear, cowl and dashboard were all made from reclaimed material, including wood etc.
James says…
Basically, this car came from a pile of parts we had laying around.
The car features three pedals: clutch, reverse gear and brakes, aside from a long lever that acts as emergency brake, neutral and high gear. Having already done 2,000 miles, the car with a 16-gallon gas tank is quite capable of cruising at 40, 42 miles per hour usually, while the top speed is somewhere around 60 miles per hour.
