The former National Arms Factory in Saint Etienne is now adorned with numerous (twelve, to be specific) tree sculptures which have been carved out of street furniture that used to line the lanes of eastern central French city in the past. The recycled aluminum trees, designed and erected by the French architect and designer Didier Muller, seek to blend furniture so neatly with art.
The biomorphic sculptures will send a strong environmental message of co-existence with nature. As Mother Nature always does her share without fail, designer – through his artful sculptures – asks people to realize, and do their duty toward nature.
