Clemens Behr’s optical trickery makes it hard for one to tell between a 2D painting and 3D objects. He conjures up a similar feat of superlative artistry at Barcelona’s Rojo artspace. Mostly done with a colored tape, cardboard and other recycled materials found around Barcelona, the installations makes one perceive some sort of order in everything cluttered and confusing.
Behr processes recycled cardboard and paper, and employs an easy folding technique to create these geometric, origami-like sculptures. You could see several 3D cardboard structures complementing the 2D images that surround or accompany them.
