Ground Roof House comes with a solar heated bathroom bunker

Crazy Japanese House Features Solar Heated Bathroom Bunke

If you have thought that bunkers are something which are made only in the battlegrounds then this time you need to change your perception. An architect firm called ‘SpaceSpace‘ has designed a house in the midst of Osaka city of Japan. The house is unusual in design in every possible way. The bathroom of the house is in the middle of the living room and it is buried slightly underground beneath a bunker like shell made from concrete. To give the feeling of real bunker, the shell has an army green enclosure on the top of the shell. The enclosure is also meant to store heat generated from solar panels.

A couch has been made in the bathroom by making a bench in the hills and covering it in a canvas. Cushions are also added on this bench to make it more comfortable. On the sides of the cover, pockets are made to hold toys and other items. There is a bathtub also in the bathroom and can be used by ascending a flight of stairs.

The house is a two storey building and on the upper storey are three bedrooms and open hall. On the ground floor are living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. The ceiling of ground floor has been elevated a bit to give the ground floor an opulent look.

While the house is wacky in many ways but at the same time this cannot be denied that it is an environment friendly house with solar power integrated in its design. Besides, entire house is built in such a way that it makes optimum use of natural sunlight avoiding excess use of power.
