One of the best ways to flaunt your eco-friendly lifestyle is to accessorize with not only ultra chic accessories, but also that are environmentally responsible. Sir Tom clutches are such rare objects which use an organic and ethical material to create beautiful accessories for women. These classy, chic, ultra-fashionable purses pop out of hemp. Although the material has a controversial story behind, but the eco-centric factor does not go unnoticed. The clutches have hand-printed designs and are available in a wide riot of colors to choose from.

The designers

Anne Waters is an Australian designer who makes trendy and chic purses that are known for their style quotient. She cuts every single stencil by hand and then screen print the design onto the fabric. The innovative designer have taken photographs of both botanical and landscape and later manipulated them. Finally the images are professionally printed onto the controversial fabric, which them transforms into elegant clutches.

The inspiration

These exceptionally beautiful clutches derive inspiration from nature. This not only endorses her as a great designer but also as an eco-geek. The clutches exemplify both sustainability and strength.

The green factor

The material is specially made from hand loomed hemp and the material is 100% organic. Hemp is a plant which grows quite fast and since the plant has very low environmental impact, these clutches are even Mother Nature’s favorite.

The fab factor

These stunningly fascinating clutches are made from hemp. Although the plant grows quite fast and without much care, the organic and ethical production of the fabric, from harvesting to weaving is a year long process. The history of the fiber can be traced back to the ancient times about 12, 000 years ago. The fiber has very low impact on the environmental and yields almost three times as much raw fiber as cotton. The clutches are so brilliant that they are highly desired.

The ensemble

Sir Tom is a line of hemp and hemp-blended clutches by Australian designer Anne Waters. These chic clutches are fashioned from hand loomed hemp. Creating the clutches itself, is a long and strenuous process. Anne first draws the desired design and then turns the drawing into a hand cut stencil. This image is then screen printed on the material with a water based ink and left to dry. Once dry, the print is then heat fixed. After all these processes are over, the eco-geek designer puts the purse together and includes a layer of duck cloth behind the hemp. A layer of wadding and a pretty black lining made either from cotton or linen goes inside. With all these inside the Sir Tom label is screen printed in silver. For the final touch, the stunning silver nickel kiss-lock frame is attached to keep all your things safe inside. A must-have for every wardrobe, these eco-friendly hand-painted hemp clutches are highly fashionable.
