North Carolina-based Li-ion Motors give all the auto fanatics a chance to experience the time of your life. The company has designed what is being called the world’s first all American-made electric supercar. Dubbed as “INIZIO”, this stunning two-seater offers a luxurious ride without emitting carbon emissions. The unique combination of the lithium-ion battery technology and management system allows it to cruise for up to 250 miles on electricity alone. The car has been unveiled at the Sema Show in Las Vegas.
Reaching a smashing 170 miles per hour top speed, the Li-ion Motors INIZIO just requires eight hours of charging and it is all set to hit the road again. The company claims that it can be recharged over 2,500 times other super cool feature that this supercar comes loaded with include adjustable, leather / suede Recaro seating with heating and cooling features, an inbuilt 12-inch subwoofer, digital surround sound system, integrated navigation system, DVD player and rotational doors that raise on a 90-degree angle. The INIZIO is expected to make a grand debut in mid-2011 and will set you back by $139,000.
