Jack Johnson to rely on solar power to record his new album

Jack Johnson (singer-songwriter, musician, filmmaker, and surfer) and his band – Adam Topol, Merlo Podlewski and Zach Gill – will add another sequel to their 2008’s ‘Sleep through the Static’, and this time it will come with a difference. Johnson will be recording his new album in his eco-friendly studio, the Mango Tree, using solar energy alone. Now, don’t you think he deserves an inclusion into the list of eco-celebs?

As you would hear the first single somewhere in April – coinciding with annual Earth Day weekend Kokua Festival – the album is expected to hit the shelves in June this year, just before the summer world tour.
