Winner of numerous grants and awards, the master kinetic sculptor Joseph Chirchirillo will bring his creative genius to a show at the Southern Vermont Arts Center – Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum from July 3 through Sept. 12. His sculptures utilize found objects, which are bent and molded into some fine works of art to illustrate various natural cycles. Dubbed as Sculpture Systems, the monumental artworks draw on electric power or human power.
Chirchirillo worked for 10 years to make his sculptures explain the process of rainfall or absorption, or the breeze murmuring through tender branches.
