Despite a limited cruising range of 100 miles a day and frequent battery recharging hiccups, Peter Curran kept pushing his THINK City electric car through a relentless, trans-European, electric journey. During his four-week expedition, he visited Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and France.
The eco-trekker, accompanied by environmental writer Richard Scrase, stopped at several idyllic campsites, conversed with the locals on the move, and solicited public help for the power socket. Aside from proving that electric vehicles would someday replace the carbon-fueled ones, his 4,000-miles journey went on to enlighten him with several developments on the international green front. The electric ride was an enjoyable experience for the green rider, who was back in time to join the Brighton to London Eco-Rally on July 7th.
