With rapid industrialization we have experienced progress in every sector of life. We have taken long strides in the fields of science and technology which has enabled us to explore the realms of the unknown to a great extent. However with this rapid industrialization some demerits have also surfaced up. It is seen that our environment is also deteriorating at an alarming rate due to widespread release of polluted substances. This degradation has reached its peak in so short a time that it has forced our leaders to think of other unconventional sources to generate energy. Current Scenario:
Eco friendly substances are nowadays used in every case even in laundry. Companies producing laundry items are using greener technologies to release new products in the market. Like for example they are now using bio degradable packets to seal the detergent. These packets are bio degradable in nature and hence do not produce any pollution after disposal. Moreover the detergents are made from organic substances and the use of phosphates is strictly restricted. This is done because phosphates can easily mix with water and thus pollute it.
Pioneer of eco friendly Laundry:
The idea about introducing green technology in case of laundry was conceived by Phillipe Christodoulou. He has rightly earned his place among one of the pioneers of eco friendly laundry. He opened his laundry company, which engaged only green technology, in Buenos Aires in the year 2010. Since then the company has been striving to keep our environment clean. The laundry contained energy savor washers and the bags used for packing the laundry were made from recycled cotton. To reduce the ill effects of the emissions on the environment, about three hundred trees were planted. He partnered up with Jean Calleja and engaged in launching green technologies in other ventures like hotels and others.
Future Scope:
Following the footsteps of Phillipe, many other laundry companies are also opting to use eco friendly technologies and techniques in their work. The effect of this new technology, although insignificant if we consider a larger picture, on a small scale has helped the local inhabitants a lot in combating the effects of pollution. If we look to the future then we will see that this technology will be no less than the portrayer of a new revolution, a revolution that will ensure the sustenance of our species on the planet long after we are gone.
