Eco-friendly force is now driving the constructions across the globe

Everywhere there is a buzz of eco-friendly appliances, buildings and even clothes. Is this the over-consciousness of the public towards global warming or it’s not a style statement? It’s difficult to identify, but UAE is on the path of setting a new record by creating country’s first eco-friendly mosque. Yes, you heard right. Devotees of UAE and all over the world will now soon offer their prayers in an environment friendly worship place that will be completed by 2014, as reported by the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF).

This responsible task has been handed over to the Al Arif Contracting Company, an auxiliary of Masharie. Masharie is a classified equity hand of Dubai investments that has undertaken the task to be finished within 18 months of commencement.

Location for this eco-friendly mosque is set near Bur Saeed Area that is in close proximity of Diera at Clock tower roundabout. Much before its construction, it has been speculated that this will be the largest mosque in Dubai that may accommodate around 35000 devotees at a time.

Green arrangements

The construction company Al Arif has appointed a construction consultant who will be responsible for giving suggestions on making the building completely ‘green’ and ‘eco-friendly’. The consultant will recommend ways to the construction company on how to extend the green area in and around the building. Imam’s house will also be arranged with solar power panels so that he can get warm and purified water. This water may also be used for ablution. The ablution water will also be utilized for the purpose of watering the plants and keeping the washrooms clean. So it means, no wastage of water. That really environment friendly!

Lighting and power facilities in ‘green’ way

Thermal plants, automatic thermostats, energy recovering units, natural lights etc. are some of the other equipments that would be incorporated in this ‘green’ project. Heat reflective paints would add the green effect to the building by keeping the interior pleasantly cold. Even a garden terrace would be provided on the roof of the building in order to maintain the internal temperature of the mosque.

Apart from the ‘green’ arrangements and equipments, the mosque will get periodic maintenance so that the building remains eco-friendly forever.

It is also an undeniable fact that Al Arif, the construction company has rich experience in developing environment-friendly buildings to enhance the natural beauty of the country.
