London-based architects Sybarite have conceived a dice-shaped, concept passive house for the forthcoming generations. The completely self-sufficient (in terms of energy generation) abode, dubbed as Nut House, features a solar, dome-shaped umbrella that produces about 80 percent of power required to meet the energy needs of the house. Acting like a greenhouse, the hemispherical plastic structure utilizes solar power to heat over 300 liters of water on a daily basis.

The 9 x 9 x 9 meter cubical house is also equipped with a turbine generator to compensate for the insufficient solar supply in winter. A system of insulated walls, photo-absorbent windows and a rooftop garden allow the passive house to eliminate any air conditioning system.
