CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research has opened its permanent “Universe of Particles” exhibition at the Globe of Science and Innovation. Featuring a display on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the exhibition – through various illuminated spheres – will make people understand the world of particles. Combined with certain interactive kiosks, interactive screens and panels display, the walls of the Globe will double as a giant screen to display a video on the evolution of the universe.

Atelier Bruckner, the architectural firm behind the new exhibition, has done a tremendous job in creating the sci-fi arena. Actually created in Hanover, Switzerland, the Globe of Science and Innovation is a 130-foot-wide, 88-foot-tall sphere made from timber, which is a natural carbon sink. Here, visitors will know about CERN’s history using projection-based, touch sensitive technology. Also, they will know about what the scientists at CERN are actually doing. Rolex has sponsored the exhibition hall.
